ESSENTIAL DUTIES Henrico County Public Libraries seeks a Public Services Supervisor to lead an Information Services Department of a large area library. There are openings in Adult Services at Fairfield Area Library, Tuckahoe Area Library, and Varina Area Library. This position oversees staff, reference services, readers' advisory, public computing, classes and programming, book discussions, and outreach services to library users and the local community. Serves on the Adult Services Committee and may service on other committees as assigned. Works closely with the supervisory team to ensure that HCPL and Henrico County standards of customer service are met and to ensure smooth operation of the facility. May act as Person in Charge in the absence of the Manager or Assistant Manager. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master of Library Science degree and three (3) years of relevant library work experience, with two years of relevant supervisory experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The expected hiring range will be at the lower end of the listed pay scale ($69,537 – $127,917).
